Description In the first volume of the series Strengthening Group Work Education, co-sponsored by CSWE and the Association for the Advancement of Social Work with Groups, Kurland and Salmon gather their more than 20 years of teaching experience to provide an in-depth look at the elements of a one-semester course in real social group work, as opposed to casework with groups. Each unit introduces well-specified teaching objectives followed by clear descriptions of groups and informative discussions of practice issues that pertain to all phases of the group process.
